Going back to the site at hand, I have always struggled in finding establishing video footage for small projects. Whether cost, time, or just laziness I would not be able to capture the footage on my own and would resort to the web. Here, I found many sites intended for photographers to capture stock images at little or no cost and a few video sites. The video on these sites though was far too professional and doctored to fit into anything student made. They also all sported price tags higher than my production costs.

With this in mind, I came with the thought that it would be a great idea if I could easily use my friend’s video footage. Freestablishot.com is a collective of establishing shot footage that I captured and collected from my friends. Sitting in my mind for the better part of two years, I finally have enough skills to begin making these files available to more than my own personal non-use. Currently, all of the files uploaded on this site have been hand selected by myself though I do hope in the future to be able to allow users to upload their own contribution.
